6h Nürburgring Langstreckenserie.

he Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), formerly known as VLN, is one of the most traditional and popular motorsport series in Europe. Since 1977, endurance races have been held on the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, with a wide range of vehicles – from production-based touring cars to professional GT3 cars – competing against each other in various classes.

The races take place on a combination of the Nordschleife and the sprint track of the Grand Prix circuit, which is around 24 kilometers long. Each season consists of eight to nine races with a duration of four or six hours.
Characteristic of the NLS are the large and diverse field of starters with up to 210 vehicles, the teamwork of several drivers per car, and the special proximity to the audience: With a ticket, spectators can visit not only the grandstands and the paddock, but also directly to the track, especially to the famous sections such as Brünnchen or Pflanzgarten, where the atmosphere is unique.

The series is considered a stepping stone for ambitious amateurs and young drivers, but also offers a challenging platform for factory teams and experienced professionals, as the Nordschleife is considered one of the most difficult racetracks in the world. The NLS is closely linked to the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, which is not part of the championship, but has many overlaps in terms of teams and drivers.
